Overview

My Practice

My practice area comprises a wide variety of matters involving corporate and business law. I advise clients on issues regarding business creation, entity governance, and business operations, including purchase agreements, real property transactions, operating agreements, and shareholder agreements. This builds on my experience as a commercial real estate and corporate attorney and my transactional training at Emory Law.

I chose to practice corporate law because transactional-based classes were my favorite in law school. I loved the practical nature of these classes and enjoyed solving real-world problems. I enjoy following a transaction from the beginning stages until closing and helping clients achieve their desired results.

The firm’s longstanding reputation for excellence in the community, as well as strong client relationships, led me to practice at McBrayer.

MORE THAN MCBRAYER

While in West Virginia, I served as a volunteer with West Virginia Legal Aid in domestic violence protective order hearings and was a court appointed counsel for indigent defendants. I also participated as an interviewer for the Emory University alumni interview program. I look forward to getting even more involved in the Lexington and Central Kentucky communities as an associate at McBrayer.

How I’m Different

Working with clients to solve problems and helping them achieve their goals makes me passionate about my career and drives me professionally. I take a very detail-oriented approach and work to my best ability to help them achieve their desired outcomes. I believe in having effective and open communication with all clients.

Before McBrayer

Before joining McBrayer, I practiced at Bowles Rice LLP in Morgantown, West Virginia. My practice was primarily comprised of commercial real estate, lending, and corporate matters. I assisted entities with formation and compliance and drafted documents for commercial real estate and loan transactions including leases, purchase agreements, and loan agreements. Additionally, I was a member of the Emory Law Transactional Certificate Program and Transactional LawMeets Negotiation Team.  I plan to use the corporate and transactional skills I obtained as a member of McBrayer’s Corporate Deals Team.
