Overview

My Practice

My practice is focused on medical malpractice defense, professional liability defense, and healthcare law. I come from a family of healthcare professionals - my wife is a speech language pathologist, my dad was a pharmacist and business owner, and I have an optometrist and a doctor as uncles. I grew up around the healthcare industry and spent many hours working in my dad’s pharmacies, so it excites me that I get to be an advocate for healthcare professionals. In a way, my background makes me feel like each client is family and I make sure I treat every case that way.

More than McBrayer

My wife and I are active members at Immanuel Baptist Church, which surrounds us, and our two little girls, with an extraordinary community. I play guitar in the worship band and provide mentoring to kids through the Upward Sports program, where I’ve been a basketball coach.  It’s a fulfilling way to combine my faith, my passions, and my desire to work for my community.

How I’m Different

I am constantly exploring methods to be more efficient. If I can find new ways to save my clients’ time and money, then those are systems I am going to implement into my practice. No one likes having a legal issue hanging over their head; I am devoted to making those problems non-existent as quickly as possible, and I want my clients to be involved every step of the way so that they understand the issues and how we plan to go about fixing any legal problem they face. I also want my clients to feel comfortable making suggestions and providing their input. I enjoy collaboration with my clients and my colleagues to ensure the best results.

Before McBrayer

I came to McBrayer from Kopka Pinkus Dolin, where I practiced defense litigation in a wide variety of legal areas. Throughout my career, I have defended cases ranging from basic slip and falls and car accidents to complex nursing home negligence and medical malpractice cases. My experience has given me the ability to effectively communicate with individuals in all walks of life and clearly explain legal issues, so my clients are fully informed and understand how we are going to attack every legal issue that they face.
