Overview
Before she knew the law, Evelyn Latta knew horses. A lifelong equestrian, she was drawn to Kentucky by the opportunities of the Thoroughbred industry. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Equine Science and Management and minor in Agricultural Economics from the University of Kentucky, she earned her J.D. from UK’s Rosenberg College of Law. Her interest in equine law led her to a career as a corporate and contracts attorney. Her practice focuses primarily on corporate law and equine law.
To her practice, Evelyn brings a deep commitment to her clients in addition to her knowledge of the law. She knows that clients are looking for an attorney who is invested in securing a favorable outcome and really cares about the issues they are facing. Her sharp legal sense, creative problem-solving skills, and genuine care for her clients set her apart.
When not in the office or courtroom, Evelyn enjoys hiking, participating in hunter and jumper equestrian events, and spending time with all kinds of animals—even the ones that don’t run in the Derby.
