Overview
My practice focuses on a broad range of litigation, from business disputes and other commercial litigation, to real estate litigation; creditors’ rights and bankruptcy; estate litigation; and administrative law, I have the background to handle matters across a wide scope. I am also well-versed in transactional work, which allows me to handle a wider array of matters for clients.
There’s a popular impression that litigators spend all of their time in the courtroom fighting, and while I am a determined champion for my clients in the courtroom when necessary, what I do is more complex and often less adversarial: I solve problems. That’s my function as an attorney – I find solutions to my clients’ most pressing issues and optimize all of their available options.
I’m at my best when I am tasked with unraveling complications in a client’s dilemma, pulling various threads of the issue until I get at the heart of the matter. It’s a process of constant evolution, seeking out the best possible outcome for my client while communicating all available paths as they become clear.
Whether the end result is a battle through all levels of court, or, more likely, a negotiated settlement that puts my client’s best interests first, my ultimate goal is to provide my clients with as little disruption as possible in the most efficient, cost-effective manner possible. It’s a hard needle to thread sometimes, but I have the experience and the client focus to do it consistently.
BEFORE MCBRAYER
I worked for the federal government for two and a half years before working for several medium-sized private firms in Louisville. This background provides a strong and diverse basis for my practice at McBrayer.
