McBrayer Attorney Katie Yunker was recently quoted in a Lexington Herald-Leader article about the upcoming deadline for eligible growers looking to receive a payout from the recent dissolution of the Burley Tobacco Growers Cooperative Association.
As the appointed representative for class members, Ms. Yunker offered her expertise on the dissolution of the cooperative. She noted that class members will receive between $2,000 and $6,000 as part of the settlement, which will come from the co-op's estimated $28.2 million in liquidated assets.
Farmers who may be eligible for a payout must submit their required documents by January 29th. They may register at https://www.btgcasettlement.com/, email ClassCounsel@mcbrayerfirm.com, or call 1-866-965-9005 to get more information.
