History: Kentucky Roots, Global Future
McBrayer’s story began in 1963 when W. Terry McBrayer opened a one-room office in Greenup, Kentucky, with an empty briefcase, a single client, and a belief that relationships are the heart of great legal service. That belief has shaped the firm’s growth for more than sixty years. From Terry’s connections across the Commonwealth through public service to the expansions into Lexington, Louisville, and Frankfort, every milestone reflects a commitment to serving clients through trust, accessibility, and personal engagement. The creation of MML&K Government Solutions, acquisition of major practice groups over the years, and sustained growth of attorney expertise in the industries and businesses that drive the economy of Kentucky stem from this same foundation. Today, as James H. Frazier, III, transitions to Chief Executive Officer and Jaron P. Blandford becomes Managing Member, the firm enters a new era rooted in the relationships and client-focused service that built McBrayer.
