Overview
MY PRACTICE
My practice centers on general civil litigation with a focus on insurance litigation. To best serve my clients, I first facilitate an in-depth interview and create a timeline with all the pertinent facts. Then, I formulate a theory for the case and begin gathering discovery. I enjoy the adversarial process, but I also enjoy client interaction and working with other attorneys to bounce ideas to achieve my client's goals. I work very hard to meet the needs of both my clients and the firm. I am young, vibrant, and outgoing and I look forward to working with you.
MORE THAN MCBRAYER
As an undergraduate, I was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta Fraternity, where I participated as the assistant chair and later became the chair of the “Cowboy Up for a Cure” rodeo fundraiser. In this role, I worked with alumni and other sorority and fraternity members to plan and execute a rodeo benefiting the University of Kentucky Pediatric Hematology Oncology Clinic. While in law school, I volunteered assisting a district court judge. I have also been involved with the "Coat a Kid” program since high school. In my free time I enjoy being active, cooking, and boating with my family on Laurel Lake.
HOW I’M DIFFERENT
I have always been a driven individual and I give my all in everything I do. I am passionate about helping people get out of some of the worst situations they may face. I enjoy the adversarial nature of my profession as well as getting creative with the various ways to resolve my clients’ legal issues. I look forward to helping my clients meet their litigation goals.
I am very adamant about following up with clients and making sure I respond to them via email or letter. It is very important that clients know that they are heard; I make it my priority to stay in contact.
BEFORE MCBRAYER
I decided to attend law school and become a lawyer after I began working as a runner for McBrayer as an undergraduate student. I fell in love with the fast pace and prestige that each lawyer in the firm exudes. During law school, I clerked for local Louisville attorneys in areas such as general civil litigation, criminal law, personal injury, and estate planning. I worked on many different kinds of civil litigation as a law student, but the area of insurance defense holds a particular interest for me because insurance has such a prominent role in our lives. After graduating from The University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, I took a position as a Louisville Metro Public Defender.
