Member Jon A. Woodall has been elected to the board of directors of Meritas, a global alliance of independent law firms that serves the legal needs of companies across major jurisdictions and global markets. Woodall was elected to the position from the more than 9,200 attorneys in the Meritas member network and will serve a three-year term with six other lawyers from around the world.

As a board member, he will participate in strategic planning, member recruitment and development, and the administration of Meritas' rigorous quality standards, which set the network apart from other legal organizations.

Mr. Woodall serves as the chair of McBrayer's construction law practice group. He provides expert counsel to clients on a range of issues pertaining to construction law, the enforcement of non-compete agreements, and land use regulations, including defense against eminent domain actions. Mr. Woodall earned his law degree from Northern Kentucky University’s Salmon P. Chase College of Law, and he is a member of the Kentucky Bar.
