In this role, Howard will extend his work beyond the firm, advising clients on professional liability, regulatory compliance, and complex ethical questions. He has long been a trusted advisor to McBrayer attorneys, known for helping work through difficult issues where judgment and clarity matter most. He now brings that same practical, steady approach to clients facing high-stakes decisions.
Howard works with organizations and professionals to assess risk, navigate gray areas, and address issues before they escalate. For clients, that means clear, practical guidance when the path forward is not always obvious, helping protect licenses, reputations, and the ability to move forward with confidence.
At McBrayer, he serves as General and Ethics Counsel, advising on professional responsibility, compliance, conflicts of interest, and disciplinary matters. He represents lawyers, law firms, and judges, and provides strategic guidance on navigating complex regulatory frameworks.
Howard also serves on the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government Ethics Commission and remains focused on helping professionals meet the evolving ethical and operational demands of their work.
