McBrayer PLLC Economic Development Chair Anne-Tyler Morgan was delighted to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony for American Welding & Gas's (“AWG”) new fill plant facility in Georgetown/Scott County on August 28, 2024. McBrayer's economic development team was honored to assist AWG in securing vital Kentucky tax incentives to bring this new facility to life.
AWG’s Georgetown/Scott County plant is an impressive 20,000 square foot facility equipped with advanced technology that allows AWG to prioritize safety and efficiency in the production and packaging of compressed and cryogenic gases to customers in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Missouri, Tennessee, and West Virginia. The 45 AWG teammates based at the facility, when fully operational, will produce 50,000 compressed gas cylinders per month.
Governor Andy Beshear offered his congratulations to AWG and expressed his excitement for the positive impact that this project will have on Kentucky's economic development, stating that the Commonwealth’s “historic economic momentum wouldn’t be possible without companies like American Welding & Gas buying into Kentucky and what we have to offer.”
McBrayer’s economic development team offers practical legal assistance to businesses aiming to establish or grow their presence in Kentucky. The team prides itself on having cultivated strong connections with both state and local authorities, which are essential in obtaining the economic development incentives best suited for a client’s project.
