Overview

Su Kang knows that when it comes to family law, it’s easy to feel lost. That’s why she’s committed to guiding her clients through all the twists and turns that come with matters of divorce, spousal maintenance, division of debt and property, and child custody and support. Su additionally handles matters of domestic violence, in which she knows clients are especially in need of a navigator. She simplifies complex issues so her clients know where they stand, while managing all the legal complications and nuances of each situation.

Su received her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University’s prestigious journalism program. In her studies, she learned and developed effective strategies for sifting through stories to find the facts—a skill that is key to any family law proceeding. From there, she attended the Syracuse University College of Law and has since spent over fifteen years representing clients and protecting their rights in family law and domestic relations cases.  Su is also bilingual, speaking both English and Korean, which expands her ability to communicate meaningfully with clients.

Su also believes that it is important for her to use her knowledge and skills to serve her community. In juvenile rights cases involving child protection, juvenile delinquency petitions, and termination of parental rights, she assists the Legal Aid Society by serving as a “Guardian ad Litem,” representing the children involved in these matters. In advocating for the legal rights and interests of these children, as well as volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters and the National Committee for Prevention of Child Abuse, she is dedicated to building brighter futures for youths in the community and across the country.
